Our Members

The World Economic Forum is a membership organization. Our Members comprise 1,000 of the world's top corporations, global enterprises usually with more than US$ 5 billion in turnover.

These enterprises rank among the top companies within their industry and play a leading role in shaping the future of their industry and region. Some of our Member companies join the Forum's Strategic and Industry Partnership communities, which are designed to deepen their engagement with the Forum's events, project and initiatives.

The Forum's Members are at the heart of all our activities.

Strategic Partners
The Strategic Partners community comprises a select group of 100 leading global companies representing diverse regions and industries selected for their alignment with the Forum's commitment to improving the state of the world. They believe in the power of multistakeholder interaction to drive positive change and work closely with the Forum to help shape the industry, regional and global agendas.

At the centre of the Forum's knowledge generation activities, Strategic Partners benefit from and contribute to the global knowledge base through working closely with the Forum to set the intellectual agenda of Forum meetings, driving the insight agenda of its publications and steering the impact of its initiatives.

Strategic Partners make a tangible impact on global issues and society by contributing to better policy-making, informing business decisions, sharing best practices and engaging stakeholders beyond commercial objectives.

Industry Partners
Industry Partners are select Member companies of the World Economic Forum that are actively involved in the Forum's mission at the industry level. Foundation Members
The World Economic Forum's 1,000 Foundation Member companies are at the heart of all the Forum's activities and their support is essential in helping find truly sustainable and global solutions to improve the state of the world. The typical Member company is a global enterprise ranking among the top companies within their industry and/or country. Member companies play a leading role in shaping the future of their industry and/or region and, as such, are recognized among their peers and in the broader public as one of the world's leading companies.

Global Growth Companies
The World Economic Forums Community of Global Growth Companies was formed in 2007 to engage dynamic high-growth companies with the potential to be tomorrows industry leaders and to become a driving force of economic and social change. As of July 2013, over 370 companies from more than 60 countries had been admitted to the community.

Members of the Community of Global Growth Companies convene every year at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions in China and at the World Economic Forums regional meetings, and collaborate through the private area of the World Economic Forum's website, an exclusive online networking platform for business and government leaders.

Technology Pioneers
Technology Pioneers are companies that are involved in the development of life-changing technology innovations and have the potential for a long-term impact on business and society. The World Economic Forum's Technology Pioneers programme recognizes companies, normally in a start-up phase, that are involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies, and are set to have a significant impact on business and society.
