Ger van Beek Karel Appel fan

Al bij zijn eerste performance, sprak zijn visie en creativiteit mij aan. En pas na veel jaren na mijn opleiding aan de ABK te Rotterdam, toen nog onder de bezielende leiding van directeur Pierre Jansen kon ik met moeite wat van zijn werk aankopen en dat mij nog altijd inspireert.
Hiermee vestig ik graag de aandacht op de Karel Appel Foundation zodat zijn persoonlijkheid en markante expressieve werk onder de aandacht blijft.

The archives include photographs of the various artworks of Karel Appel, studio shots, portraits, installation shots, and other documentary pictures of the artist.
The archives can be consulted in restricted cases, upon written request.

Obtaining Photographic Material from the Karel Appel Foundation:

Photographic material obtained directly from the archive of the Karel Appel Foundation, is subject to costs.
Reproduction of works by Karel Appel is subject to the prior written consent of the Karel Appel Foundation. The copyright fees will be collected by the copyright organization, Pictoright, Amsterdam, www.pictoright.nl These copyright fees are separate from the costs of obtaining photographic documents.
All requests should be sent by email to info@karelappelfoundation.org
If the image to be reproduced is in a public collection, the applicant should obtain photographic material from the appropriate institution.
The applicant agrees to provide the archive of the Karel Appel Foundation with a printing proof for all print media publications and copies of all video, audio or CD ROM media productions.
